16" is really as large a diameter as I would run on this model, personally.

Bruce, do you know this car?

It's not too rare, I have it's sister under the carport!

It's rare to find one properly maintained however, and this one sounds like it is. I"m game, but my son will be mad, he wanted the next one to be red!

    There's a lime green/black glass 308GTB in the Bonham's Gstaad auction

Yes, that's true. As discussed at length here on FChat, very few manufacturers even make a fitment for the 308!
    You'd think MOMO, but no.
I run some nice 16" Etoile ( out of business, new unavailable) 3 pc. rims that came with my car, but the guy that popped for 'em didn't buy a spare!

He even trick fu__ed me by throwing a Dino basket style mag in the spare!

I have tediously assembled a matching set of original wheels like came with the car, the $65 each lug bolts (PITA) $275 used set, refinished with kit from Griot's.

Now I buy the 14" Goodyears (only two selections to chose, none Z rated), and I can look original at the car shows, which I never attend!

I run the Goodyear 16" Eagle F1 GSD3s on the street, and they are sweet. I don't look too cool rolling the flats down the road, however.

Tires are temporary....Yes it's mine. I am very familiar with vehicular suspension systems and geometry. To the other person who commented on wheel usage; there is absolutely nothing incorrect with using 17" wheels on this car. They were made by OZ RACING for this chassis. 16" was maximum for Ferrari's wheel size on this car but that doesn't mean 17" is a problem. Back then they were limited by tire technology and sizing, period.
By the way, it also comes with the original set of 5 wheels/tires. The only thing rare or uncommon on this car is the Euro. spec. front spoiler. Try finding one....

Yea, I'm hip to that! Here in Houston you have to watch for HUGE holes in the road. Looks like a war zone.

My car has a weird option. Standard US spoiler, but has a loop pipe nerf bar below to help ride over parking stops.

Has anyone ever seen this on '76 or '77 308s?

    TRIUMPH, you've got email.

I dunno, he never responded to my last email on engine work.

Sodium valves vs. stainless steel. It may be gone!

Thanks for the interest in the car. It was sold for the asking price. This is in fact the yellow 308 spotted by the person who mentioned it in the spotter's thread.....it appears we have a common friend.
