Does anyone even know if the F1 system can handle that much power? Amazing that it's even possible with the stock tranny parts.
I wouldnt have replaced the wheels, and certainly wouldnt put that banner across the windshield or on the nose. Other than that though god thats aweasome.
And do you guys remember this F50? (maybe you've seing this car in the Supercar Rally in France) It has 800 bhp. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Any idea what was done to the engine to pump it up that much. This is the first time I've seen a Enzo with the engine modified for more horsepower. Somebody sure was brave playing around with that engine.
I just wrote a message to the guy who posted the pics to learn more about this Enzo. So I will let you know when I get the infos.. As for now he just said it has 900 bhp.
Any form of performance (power, handling, SOUND, any of them) is more addictive than herion, sometimes you just cant get enough.
900 Horsepower in a car that light may give it some traction problems. Would you have to reprogram the traction control for the increase in horsepower. Also I'm sure this required some remapping of the engine as well. There is no way that much horsepower was added with a K&N air filter and some headers.
Oh come on that sticker on the windscreen has to worth 100hp and gosh what do the local Civic guys quote a filter change will get ... atleast 50hp ... Pete ps: I actually like the sticker, removes the bubble look of the windscreen and adds a much needed menasing look.
MATT, About the traction control, the best wat to reprogram it with the 900hp is to turn the damn thing off!
I doubt that. Why would someone ruin the lines on an F50 by putting an ugly air intake on it for only 30hp when all he would have to do would be to run straight pipes?
Yeah I'v heard of 620 hp and I''v 800 hp , 700 hp etc. Can anyone comfirm how much it has exactly? Amenasce you said...800 hp might be too much for a 4.7l... The Koenig F50 has 850 bhp and with amazing performance..0-60 mph: 3.1 sec.
A classical misconception. The transmission and clutch are rated in TQ not in HP. To a first order, if the Enzo power is produced by super/turbo-charging this increases TQ and thereby increases HP at the same or similar revs. If the power is obtained by reving the crap out of it naturally asperated, then the TQ output of the engine is not altered radically and revs produce the extra HP. If the clutch can hold the TQ being put through it, then the clutch does not car about how mch HP is going through it--if it holds, its not burning up. To first order, if the TQ does not bend shafts, crush bearings, or fatigue the teath on the gears the transmission can be made to deal with the HP going through it (by maintaining lubrication and disipating the heat through the oil/air heat exhanger.)
I agree Chevarri! That is about the same amount of horsepower as a Formula One car. I bet it's a screamer. I looked on the website of the guys that supposedly put this thing together but couldn't find the car. However I noticed they had two race prepped 550's and a 360 GTC so they have the money. Maybe I'm an idiot and the engine isn't that complex. However I do know for a fact that blowing one up is pretty expensive. What is the replacement price on an Enzo engine?
