Hehe, sure looks like my first Ferrari.

When I saw the title of this thread I was curious to why somebody would know about my previous Ferrari, which was a TR (like yours). Only few people know of that. Anyway, thanks for the link, very cool, but I won't bid on it.

Man, I`m so happy & proud of my change from the 308QV to the Testarossa!

You mean, why have done the opposite of you, going from a TR to a 308QV?
    Good question, hehe.

I only legally owned a TR, not de facto: Back in the late eighties when the Ferrari prices went through the roof, I went to a dealer in Switzerland and ordered a TR (red/tan) with the intention to flip it on arrival and make a nice profit. Well, hmm, that backfired. By the time the car arrived (about 9 months later), the market had collapsed and I was left with a car costing a quarter million and had no cash. Bummer. Well, the dealer was nice and let me out of the contract after loosing my down payment (outch!) and probably sold it the next day to a real customer.

I still have the contract though. Something to hang on the wall...

A couple years later I wanted to do the same deal with a Diablo, but cooler minds prevailed.
    :)

But if I ever get a 2nd parking spot, I'll get one of those TRs. They're just so totally awesome.

    Andreas,

    pffffff what a sad story;(
Yes, in late `88 - `90 the prices for a new Testarossa were around DM: 290.000,- (US$ 185.000,-) unbelievable and it was no problem to re-sell the car within 24 hours for DM: 500.000 (US$ 330.000,-) totaly crazy time!
    Today a real good one is just around €uro: 50.000,- (US$ 65.000,-)
To me the last real 12 cylinder Ferrari from the Enzo area.
Hopefully the time will come for you to realice your dream again.
When I bought my Testarossa last year I was thinking about a Diablo.
Markus, I drove this Diablo over 1.000km in Italy and Germany (belongs to a dear friend of mine) and I was so hungry and on the way to buy one.
God bless, havent`done it and bought my Testa!!

    Andreas,
whenever I can, i drive my beast!
Don`t know if we drive to Barcelona or not right now - so many events this year to go.
I have done only last year 18.000 km (11.250 miles) with my Ferrari and sold it with over 95.000km ( 60.000miles!)
Yes, the cars are built for driven!

Sorry, must leave now for dinner (its 18.20p.m. in Germany).

Thanks for talking with me, have a great day and CU soon back on fchat.

    Yours
