Possible Icons for top right?

Made these er, noncommisioned prototypes earlier - for quick links on top right... Do what thou wilt.

 

Currently, images/misc/vb_bullet.gif is the gif used throughout the board. - not just at those 5 locations next to each other - just about the only thing that needs to be paid attention to - otherwise it's the closest thing to a no-brainer you've likely had in a while. I can't imagine the time, skill, effort, mental, physical and psychological energy you've expended on this site - software or no software - it ain't easy.

In this example, each of those 5 shortcuts which are using aforementioned .gifs would be substituted for with the corresponding .png files, as described on the provided link. The .png files are already named after each function, so naming or moving things around at the foundation won't be much of a mystery. Also - alt wouldn't need to be changed, nor would the href. Just need to download small files to hard drive, then upload the .png files, and text the names in to each of the 5 corresponding <img src...> location at the er, root level - so it affects all pages. The same could be said for any .gif or .png you choose. It's your site. Mix 'n' match as you please.

These are only nonrequested examples I did for you to consider. You have better things to do than create .gifs or .png files, and certainly, there are others with more talent than I. I laid it out background-wise as Yellow-Red-Yellow-Red-Yellow, as I'm sure you noted.

Red "Man" on Yellow Background = Open Buddy List
Yellow "N" in shape of Lightning Bolt = View New Posts
Red "Magnifying Glass" on Yellow Background = Simple Search
"Black and White Eye" on Red Background = Mark All Forums Read (Black and white and Re(a)d All Over) heehee
Red "X" on Yellow Background = Log Out
