The only advantage to buying a ferrari project is it gets you into ownership sooner if money is an issue. Its also fun if you do the work yourself. It will be expensive in the long run, time consuming and frustrating but you will know alot more about your car than most ferrari owners ever will.
Try Mr.Hooper at; www.italianauto.com He sells Ferrari's that have small, easily repairable damage. As well as cars that just need some TLC. He also sells the parts to fix them,too.
I bought my car sight unseen from Butch (Mr Hopper)....and a lot of parts. He is a very nice guy and everything was as he said it was. It cost a LOT more to do repairs than I was thinking. I've never been able to leave anything I own stock, so it didn't bother me to look at cars that needed things I would probably change anyway....but evrything that goes in the ferrari is 5 to 10 times the price of working on a US car. For example, my car needed carpet because it was faded and worn. The carpet in a ferrari is wilton wool and costs about $800 if you are willing to live with 5/16 pile instead of the OEM 3/8, it you want stock, it's closer to $1500, although you can buy nylon (a very poor substitute when you see them side by side) for $250. The best price I found for seat covers was $1000, door panels $350, console $350. Shopping around a lot, I got everything to rebuild the engine for about $4000. The one good thing is that often the fancy top shelf racing parts are cheaper than stock, so buying them is the smart thing to do
That 108k 308 GTSi on the site posted above looks sweet for $19.5K. Any idea what that car will need besides cam belts, hoses, etc? Maybe a top end rebuild or maybe even new rings?

"Any ideas where i can find a 308 project"..... My friend, "every" 308 is a project, so buy the best example you can afford.
Do yourself a favour and buy a good 308. The difference in price is not worth the hassle or expense (even if you consider you time as free). You are talking about a 25 year old car and even a good example will keep you very busy with little projects to make the car exceptional. Your time and money is much better spent this way. Been there, done that, and you would be hard pressed to find an owner who would tell you otherwise.
