It has some serious buck teeth! I'd drive it though.

James, do you know anything about Audi coming out w/ V10 car? Someone posted pics from the side rear, and it looks good.

I love the interior and dash area. The A8L has a fantasic placement on all the controls too.

True on the A8, I just hate the steering wheel design and the choice of trim in some areas. (The shifter for example tooks really tacky IMHO)

What an outstanding looking interior. The car looks pretty good to me. Only problem with the A6 has been that the driving dynamics have never been on par with the E-Class or 5 Series. Perhaps this will change, although I doubt it since it is based on a Front Wheel Drive platform with Quattro available.

Upon seeing these pics, I havecome to this decision: I am buying this car as soon as I find a local dealer that will take orders! YEAH!

Except for the grille up front, its a step above all other cars in this class! Now if AUDI will do as its rumored and drop a version of the Gally engine in this, the new M5 will be toast!

I totally agree, first thing I noticed that I didn't like was the grill, too low, Yes buck tooth.
I like the rest of it.

Very nice interior. The front end is hideous.

    James,

Our family car is a 2000 A6 Avant. I really like the new interior and everything except the front grill. The overhang is just too long below the mid section.

Other than that it looks great.

Any details about the different engine line up. Will they keep the 2.7 T or axe it like they did on the S4?

The only regret on your A6 is the 2.8 V6 engine which isn't a very good engine. At the time there was no 2.7 T option and we didn't want the all road.

    Regards,

    Jon P. Kofod

The complete article on it can be found at:

    www.vwvortex.com

The article is pretty long but has some more good pictures. I found the one looking down on the front end interesting. Go there and view these things and let me know what you think. I believe the grille is very masculine looking but may be too much. It is certainly better than a Chris Bangle headed design though.

Thanks for the photo. Is this actually for sale in 2004? I saw someone posting it will be around $80K. I was interested in Lotus Elise, but this car looks interesting.

Sorry to hijack this thread w/ different car, James & everyone!
