1986-88 BMW M5. Great performance, handling and getting inexpensive enough to own now. It is good though, that you are a technician............

BMW 3.0 CSi or CSL......very classic design...........................................

Thanks to all for the input. I am adding the BMW 3.0 to my list.

I have removed the Maserati BiTurbo from the list. After searching the ads I found, it seems all of them are suffering some major issues. Plus, they are not really very attractive. Sort of reminds me of a Volvo. The Quattroporte is still in the running based on the engine and exclusivity of owning a Maser. The biggest problem with the Quattroporte is the lack of cars to choose from. I have only found three examples for sale. Two don't run.

It looks like the Jag has more to offer in terms of style, comfort, parts availability, and selection.

    jimpo. thanks for the link.

    Whatever I finally choose(probably the XJ6) I will post a few pics.

I apologize I missed your post #15 on the Alfa. I will add it also. I have always had a soft spot for Alfa's. I had not even considered that Alfa had a 4 door. I have never seen one until you posted it.

    thanks

I'm going this weekend to look for a XJ6. I'm hoping I can trade the C class for one without much out of pocket $.

If you need purchase assistance, let me know. Pics are good, any quirks I can clear up during inspection process before you plop down cash. Keep to the '96-'97 if in your range. I'd sell mine, at least I think, but I would be asking too much and there are other cars just as good for $10k. She loves me and I her!

I have a couple daily drivers i want to part with. 95 XJR Jag with around 98K, just spent $4k on repairs, will sell for $9500. '85 BMW 635 that has Cartech turbo and about $20k in associated upgrades. Looks like a M6. $7,000. PM me if interested or call 214-707-1046. I am in dallas. I just bought a Porsche C2 turbo and need to get rid of some cars. Also will be selling my '84 930 turbo. Around $30k in reliable upgrades/repairs done to it. Asking $33K. And an old clunker of a '84 Landcruiser needs to go as well. Greg

I'm with Dom. Alfa Romeo 164. If you get the 94 or 95, they have a 24 valve v6 engine. Get the 5 speed for sure; auto is a dog on the later models, but on 91-93 auto is OK. Pininfarina design, four doors, seating for 5, ABS, power everything, A/C that WORKS. I've had 3 over the last 12 years. They seem to fit your specs.
