has anyone had the same experiance as me with regards to a seized sunroof motor?? (mondial QV)

the motor has power going to it, but its so stiff, that even with the manual 'key' it takes foever to open or close.....

the roof looks like it hasnt been used for years (ive taken it out for body restoration / paint)

can the motors be stripped and overhauled, or is it just good for a paper weight??

Are you testing the motor off the car, the reason for asking is sometimes the reason for slow operation is due to the sliding mechanism in the roof aperture and also the cable / tube that links the motor to the roof becoming siezed.

The motors are extreemly hard to find, so if the fault lies with the motor get it repaired by a competent electrical repair shop.
