I settled with F50 wheels, I like them... Need to find a way so they fit properly... going to have to make some hubs. What do you think?

The F50 wheels look good on the F40. Are the F50 wheels from a Hot Wheels too ?

    Hey.
Those black wheels looks great on the F40, is it difficult to remove the wheels
    on these model cars?
How do you do it? just pull them right out without using too much force?
or do you need to take the car apart first??
Do you know where I can buy set with wheels?? (web site)
    Please let me know.
    Thanx a lot

I think all wheels I have encountered have been put onto the axles so pulling them off would do the trick.

However it seems as if each model uses a different "snap-on technique", so once you change wheels, you won't be able to put them back on. Which is why I normally give up and just glue the new ones on. Of course they won't turn anymore, but then again I got some models from professional builders and they did the same. So I don't feel too bad.

I think I will just glue them on, once I put the brake rotors back on... I did have to modify the wheel hubs so they didn't stick out.

I have to do that in most cases as well. For the 348 Challenge conversion I actually let them stick out a bit. Looks kinda cool.

Wrecked Ferrari: Yes, you got that right in the picture.

    Wheels.

When it comes to wheels , its best to stay with the same manufacturer (although sometimes you can't).

Every Maisto wheel is basically the same and will interchange with all other Maisto hubs.

Burago models have changed a bit. Some snapped right on the hubs, while others snapped onto the brake rotors.

Hot Wheels uses straight axles in the back and usually screws the fronts into the hub. Although on some HW , they are just updated Buragos.

UT glues them onto the brake discs(which are a PITA to take off).
