I have read a lot about the Michelin Pilot Sport Cups on this board and have also heard a lot about the BF goodrich KDW2s, and Pzero corsas. If the car is never driven in rain or cold, what are the best performance tires?

Best performing tire in the situations you describe is the PZero Corsa without doubt.

For continual road use (even when you hit the unexpected rain) Michelin Pilot Sports and Bridgestone S-03s are the best IMHO. The cup tires are great from assured dry weather use, but if you ever hit unexpected rain, look out.

For a street performance tire I have been quite pleased with my Yokohama AVS ES100's on my 308.

I like the Kumho ECSTA MX tires. I changed from Michelin Pilots to the Kumhos on my M5 a couple years ago and believe the Kumhos handle better than the Pilots. The Kumhos are also much quiter and cost a fraction of the Pilot cost ! Try them...you'll like them .

I'm happy with the Bridgestone Potenza S02 on both of my sports cars.

Judging by your profile, you'll be putting these on a DB7 or Diablo 6.0. And it says you're 17 years old. Interesting.

Anyways, you didn't say what car these will go on but but the sizes for those cars might limit your choices. S03's or Pirelli's are great street tires. I like the pilot sports but I have heard that they are a little heavy. I use Gooyear Fioranos but I don't like them at all.

The tires are for the diablo, db7 isn't much of a performance car.

I have tried Dunlops, S03s and Pilots on my M5, but the Kumhos I now have on it are far superior IMHO for day to day street use.

The Pilot Sport Cup is the closest thing on the road to a racing tyre. It has exceptional grip when it starts to get heat into it. Wet conditions are OK but the tyres abilkity to shift water is not good so standing water is to be avoided.

The tyre has limited size availability but without doubt will see off any other tyres if you are looking for anything other than good wear (I've managed about 2500 miles and really need to replace mine)

Not too sure about that. Have a look:

The PZero Corsa is the closest you can get to a road-legal slick.

Hoosier slicks & R4 pads a combo that can't be beat. Never been hassled by the PoPo with this set up.

You are correct, but like I said the PoPo has never questioned me.

The Pilot Sport Cup is head and shoulders above the PZero Corsa in the dry.

Don't judge a tire by its tread pattern, it's the compound that matters most.

kumho mx is by far the best value at 1/2 cost of other max performance tires. since hard use will require replacement in about 6k mi or 1 year, why not try them and simply replace if not happy? great all around street and track tire.
