Anyone remember those "Machiavelli" kit cars based on the Trans Am/Camaros in the late 80's? They were supposed to look like a 308 but more closely resembled a bad dream.

Another contender...this is an Italian car called the Edonis. They have just one demo model so far, and when EVO had it for testing it fried its clutch. Supposedly putting out more than 1000 hp and some ungodly amount of torque. Hideous from every angle.

I don't think it's bad, but they got the styling from the movie the Minority Report.

you guys have covered most of my favorite uglies.
how about the old citroen diane, so ugly it got cool.
rolls royce camargue? anything by zimmer?
and my suggestion for recent ugly has to be the new 5 and 7 series bmw's, what a waste of great engines.

    Dont forget grandma's grocery getter!

As lacking in handsomeness and aero slickness as it is, the dang thing still pulled 13.0@115 last week. (No comments on the ET to mph match please :D yes...I bogged the car horribly.)

Shelby collaborated on some Dodges, but not really this one. (Initially, I believe he was to, but in the end the car was not a Shelby.)

The engine on the 1991-1993 R/Ts was a joint venture between Dodge and Lotus. The lower end seems to be Dodge's contribution and the head was that of Lotus.

I remember that ... that 'investment" tanked just like his post-Miami Vice career. Miami Vice .. the good old days of television (he says .. waxing nostalgically)

Audiguy: Correct me if I'm mistaken, but I believe your first picture in post #15 is actually a Fend Flitzer, not a Messerschmidt. Pretty close, but not quite the same thing.

Regarding the Aztek - as the story goes, from the inside which I received first hand - there was quite a bit of money tied up in the project. So much in fact that they were way over budget and they still didn't have everything finished. Most of the money was spent on the project managers and managers overseeing the entire design and engineering of the car. GM finally had it with those PM's and said - release what you have. And thus, the Aztek was born. It was so bad... GM made the PM's and exec's drive them. For how long, no idea.

I'd have to say, out of all the car listed in this thread so far, those take it.
