A friend who's a rabid Jagger fan will be vacationing in Amboise in June and has heard that he keeps a Ferrari at a chateau in the area. She'd love to keep an eye out for it (him?)- does anyone know if this rumor is true and, if so, what model/color/registration number she should be looking for? THANKS.

    Hi Ira,
I don`t want to think that we (the european section) is rude `cause you got no answer/response!
But I have asked and mailed your question to so many friends but nobody got
any infos about your question, sorry!
I have only heared about mick jagger that he owned a Ferrari in the late ´60th or early `70th and this was also time when he owend/rented the house at the Cote D`Azzure/ South France....long time ago;)

THANKS, Wolfgang. I must admit that this is the first I'd heard of Jagger owning a Ferrari, but I'm only a casual Stones fan (always preferred The Who)! In any case I appreciate your efforts, and do let me know if you learn anything.

    Ira

P.S.: I was born in '52, so the late 60s or early 70s doesn't seem so long ago to me!

True, Dale, but I'd always thought it was because I was born in a car- how prophetic!

    Hello again Ira,

the `50th till the early `60th are the best creatively years to me!
    - The most amazing cars has been built in this time
    - The electric guitar (Fender Stratocaster 1954, Gibson Les Paul 1952) has been invented!
    - The Music: R&R, R&B was so fresh and REAL live music - no overdubs!
    - Still the best wine you can buy from this time
    - This are the real & true VINTAGE years in any case!!!

Best Regards from cold & frozen Germany to sunny Maryland

Sorry guys, but it was a 1948 Dodge! My father (now 85 years old) doesn't drive like I do, so we didn't make it to the hospital in time.
Wolfgang- I wish it were sunny here in Maryland, but this time of year it's cold and snowy. That's why I spend a lot of time in Florida (and keep my Ferrari there)! Good point, by the way, about the music (and guitars) of the '50s-'60s.

    Hi Ira,

I`m getting a bit envious "...thats why I spend a lot of time in Florida!"
Yes, of course you are right; enjoy your life, follow the sun and drive as much as possible;)
But to be honest, I need the winter months (doing some big business) to earn some cash & time for the summer time. So there is always something to look forward.
