OK, I can finally let myself believe it. It's here! In this country (north Acton to be precise) and I've actually touched it and started it up. Only fear of arrest stopped me from licking it too. Crap pictures on my phone, but it's the same scheme as the pic in this article except for the perspex window.
    http://www.bullz-eye.com/carreviews/2003/ferrari_challenge_stradale.htm

The seats (large) fit perfectly and my hands went to the controls without me telling them too. Felt immediately at home, and it's just beautiful. Rosso scuderia and the stripe just *work*. God, I'm so excited- it's so intense it's almost painful. I'd say more but I need to go to the toilet. Again.

Looking forward to creating some harmonics with Wazza & Robin.

    Kevin,

You Sound like an exicited boy on christmas eve after being tipped off that theres no father christmas its really your dad and "yes" you got that 10 gear racer bike you wanted.

Enjoy it, looking forward to the three car line up and treble harmonics " hold on" just pondering on that sound and what a great sound that would be three CS cars blasting out the great fcar notes.

Im totally envious of you guys...

Picking it up Monday 1st March (8 days and counting). It'll be in H R Owens' showroom in the Old Brompton Road sometime next week apparently. Due to be prepped tomorrow.

And Robin, I'm not going to make any comment about large seats! It's not a tight fit so there is room for a few pies....

It's Tessuto spec (red/black alcantara), racing seats, rosso harnesses, CD (for residuals), roll bar, fire extinguisher and wiring for battery charger.

The car came from the factory with black harnesses (may keep them) and no fire extinguisher, so that's getting done tomorrow.

Congratulations on the new purchase. the spec sounds similar to mine except that I ordered the red calipers as well. I ditched the CD after doing 600 miles in P1's Stradale and realised it was a waste of time as you can't hear a flippin thing above 40 miles/hr anyway. Very excited for you though!I think that I will pop into Old Brompton road to see the rosso scuderia when its there as I have't actually seen it in the flesh before. Let me know when exactly it will be there. Thanks
    Roll on June!

    Kevin,

Wow, that is awesome. I am SOOOOO jealous (in a nice way). Did I remember a comment you made in another thread about not having done a trackday (yet)? I assumed that you were referring to 'in your 456' so to speak. However I trust that the 360CS will bring this sad state of affairs to an end! I highly recommend an FOC trackday at Silverstone - with ARDS instructors assisting as required for free, everyone going the same direction on the tarmac, no tractors pulling out of side roads in front of you and no Volvo drivers - as the best way to appreciate fully what you have there.

Fascinated to learn of your views of it, for road and track use, in the fullness of time.

    Enjoy!

    James.

Very pleased for you Alex! In fact, apart from the CD, we do have the same spec then, since I forgot to add that it has rosso calipers. I won't be listening to that CD either, certainly not when the NGT exhaust gets fitted. That's the only problem with trackdays James, the dB limit is pretty low. I am planning to do Silverstone after the Spring Ball but that's quite fluid at the moment, and I'll need to re-fit the original 'zorst first.

Spoke to Tim @ H R Owen this morning and he said the car would be in the showroom from Thursday probably. I'm also having the front bumper, sills and wheelarches armourfended before delivery.

I think there are 40 CS coming into the UK this year, so at this rate we'll have a significant proportion of them on this board.

    Big congratulations.
I can't imagine what it's like to have to wait yet another week for it. Must be murder.
I saw one yesterday on the way home from VW.
Absolutely stunning, rosso with the stripe looked brilliant.

Hope we get some nice weather this weekend

    One question,
How many RHD CS's are likely to be made & come to the UK?

Well, if it isn't there it's been nicked! I'm picking it up from there on Monday.

Sorry I missed you Phil. I was in the Murcielago with Manu.

    Kevin

Edited to add: total RHD production for UK is 80 cars I'm told.

I've been told it's about the same number as this too but would guess in the end it might be as many as 100 or so.

I think I might have seen it last week at HR Owen's storage, the stripe is brilliant especially the way it blends in with the rest of the bobywork ie no bumps.

    Wicked car - love it.

Yup, you did! It was at North Acton, and it was the only one with a stripe.

You know, I make that 5 Stradales so far on/to be on here

    Wazza- here & now
    456MGT- March
    Robinh- April
    Paul360M- April
    Stradman- June

I suspect that will be significant fraction of total UK production by the time Stradman picks up his car. Not bad eh?
