Hi all, I am about to replace the rear screen on my 348TS, as the original is going cloudy at the bottom with advancing age. I seem to remember a bit of banter about these not so long ago, but can`t find the info. Did we come up with a supplier and costing? Is there a rubber fitting kit to add on top? And what was the fitting cost like? Any help most gratefully received folks... cheers, Geoff
Hi Geoff, I've been told that the 348 and 355 share the same rear screen. I had to have a new rear screen on my 355 not long ago and the only place who had them was Maranello at a cost of £1200. Fitting by my local AutoGlass was £250 and they did a great job. I didn't need any kind of fitting kit as the original rubber was fine. Here's the thread I started on the subject: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16174 Hope this helps
Pity you ordered one without trying Hindsight - works a treat on cloudy plastic rear screens, and a sight cheaper than buying a new one ! see www.morethanpolish.com - teh guys an FOC member.
I use hindsight on my 348 spider. The rear plastic screen comes like new. The best stuff I have used for plastic screens. I recommend it too.
Justin - I assume it was the Hindsight plastic screen restorer you used ? Is it really that good - my Dad's BMW needs a new screen and this could save me a few quid. And any luck on selling your 348 yet ? Rick
Rick, If worth getting some. Its works. I found the advert in the back of Autocar magazine. Their website is www.hindsightuk.com Their contact number is 0131 346 2488. I highly recommend using it. You must following the instructions when applying the two stage creams. I have just had a e-mail from the US with regard to a buyer wishing to purchase the car immediately. He wants to wire the money to my bank account, so I must give my bank details. Once the money is in my account then he will have a shipping company pick it up. I want to withdraw the money from my account prior to them taking it. I have heard of few scams where money appears in your account then it disappears.

Justin - as Mark says be careful, sounds a bit dodgy too me. I'm sure you know the score. If you go ahead - make sure you use an old bank account with zero balance and zero overdraft facility. When I had a cheque clear on my account the bank still told me that up to around 30 days they still had the right to remove it !! There's a guy on the 'Cheshire Specialist' thread after a 348. Catch you soon. Rick
