    Is the dash on an 84 308 QV leather made of black vinyl? The instrument surround seems to be of a different material than the dash cover (the instrument surround is leather I assume).

    As well, anyone notice that the black leather (or whatever?) surrounding the two air vents below the stereo seems to come loose? Any trick to removing the air vent surround to reattach the material?

    The majority of 308/328 dashes are vinyl. There were a very few, specially ordered ones that were leather; or the owner subsequently had it redone in leather. I have no idea why they switched to leather, and all the problems now experience with shrinkage...vinyl seems the more durable product...

    I had a similar problem with the a/c vent surround on my 85. I didn't remove, mine was such that I could re-glue in place. I did however fix a problem with it being slanted by wire tying it up from behind.
