can someone explain how it works?
like this... WWHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.............................WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH sorry eli just having a little fun. i ripped the carpets out of my car yesterday the sound is loud and everything I could imagine the stradale is going to sound like when you get yours.. BYE. BYE.
i think the launch control works just like how it does on the BMW SMG cars. The F1 transmission doesn't allow for you to dump the clutch while you're revving up the engine, unless the brake is pressed. So what the L.C. button does is basically it allows the engine to rev up to a certain rpm...and drops the clutch to allow for better/ faster take off.
hahahaha not realy but like i said befor spider is a no no dont like convertables and as goes for the CS i need a 6 speed so looks like i have to make my 360 into a stradale without the start button of course but i found someone who does some job with carbon fiber so thats whats next. we need to have lunch soon? sorry no but i thought you are going to trade it it ? Whats wrong with that the dealer dont want to give you as much as you want? no money ripping out the carpets i did it myself with a friend next i need to smooth every thing out and paint
Hey Brad, Got some pics of your conversion there i.e. step-by-step? It'd be interesting to see the progress
lets not crush elis thread but yes i have some photos but all that is done so far is the carpets are out looks good but not perfect i have to scrape the access shiit off of the door sills and sand some stuff get rid of the big pieces of cylicone then paint it hopfully sunday i will have it done the floor i mean. OK back to ELI's thread
rev is rasied to optimal point when clutch slips. computer monitors the wheel spin to feather the clutch to eventually full relases. it has a perfect combination of grip & spin. to achive the fastest launch.
When in launch mode you depress the brake and gas (fully)! I think in the case of 360CS the ECU keeps the RPM at 5000 or so until you let go of the brake at which time the clutch engages, a bit of wheel spin and then bite and off you go! I guess you will find out soon enough with your 360CS!
Wrong. It is simply a way to leave the line at a particular rpm like a manual transmission. It does not monitor wheelspin or feather the clutch. And if you do not modulate the throttle you will get smoked by a Toyota Prius off the line.
then i am surprised they called it launch "control", where is the "control" if it's just gonna sit there spin tires. i know bmw smg does what i said, would think ferrari f1 is at least similar or more advanced, oh well.
A friend tried it on his CS...I saw quite a cloud of tire smoke...I mean a lot...but I am not sure what would be a "proper" amount of wheelspin for a fast launch...so I don't know that this is right or wrong.
