I listen to AM radio as I drive my 550. If I go under a bridge the static is terrible. Most of the time I can only get a couple of stations.

I remember when I could replace the condenser on the distributor and the problem would be fixed. With the electronic ignition, I do not know what to do.

    Any ideas???

AM Radio?? They actually put one in a 550?? AM will always cut out or get fuzzy when there is interference. The AM signal is not strong enough to penetrate any big obstructions! Try FM or a CD!!

Put a Ferrite core on the antenna lead into the radio add a power filter and a noise filter, all from Radio Shack and that should help cut the noise/interference down.

Wander into Radio Shack, explain the problem (LEAVE THE WORD FERRARI OUT OF THE CONVERSATION) and they'll fix you up.

You may need to use a combination of items, and even perhaps a signal booster for the antenna to get it right.

    YES, Radio Shack.

    Bart,
is this a recent problem? If it is, then you may have a problem with the radio or antenna. Check grounds, and better yet, check with the dealer...there may be a TSB dealing with this.
