I am in the process of "reconditionaing" my dash to prevent more shrinking as well as attempt to "restretch" the leather back into place. I am using the Leatherique products to condition the leather, so i have that part covered.

How do i remove the upper plastic vent pieces that are right next to the windshield so that i can "stretch" the leather back into place?

Also any precautions as far as stretching the leather back into place?

I have read in other posts that "leatherique" can get the leather so supple that it can be stretched back in. Claims of it being done have been posted. we'll see if it works. I was willing to pay someone to replace the darn thing, only the dealer FoW wasn't too sure about who could do that.

I thought that but was too scared to try prying it up. Sometimes i think things like that should work and i end up breaking stuff. That's why i figured i should see if anybody knew before i got the wrecking bar out.

You are talking about the vents for the defroster that fit flush with the day right?
