I feel parking in the rain and driving in the rain are two different animals. When driving, you have to look out for everyone on the road. Rainy conditions won't help much on top of that..
All you need is for some unexperienced driver to slide into your ass.

This IS to funny........... I feel your pain. I too have a 355 that I baby a bit. I wouldn't want it getting drenched under some sappy tree or blown with salt water in a storm. I think your just going to have to use your judgement and relax if the weather turns for the worst.

Actually East is furthest, it goes West, South, Bridge, than East.

I don't think its a dumb question, and I don't think anyone else does. I probably wouldn't keep my Ferrari out in the room over night, but i'm just saying one night shoudln't be too bad. All I would recommend, if you're really worried about it, is just to hose it off the next morning, get the acidic rain and that junk off. Just to assure you the car is fine.

 

God, if Enzo Ferrari were alive to see how much people baby his cars he'd PUKE! All the technology, hard work and design put into these cars and people don't drive them because it's too sunny,raining,may put on too many miles, jeez, sell the car to someone who'll use it.Go to Road & Track.com and check out the article on the "long term"ENZO with 10,000 miles on it , in the rain dust etc.and that's an Enzo! DRIVE THE FREAKING CARS, I'm so over all this tip toeing around Ferrari's. No wonder alot of people think they're fragile cars.

I'm headed off to a week of vacation in either the 456 or 365 (depends on when the shop gets done working on the 365) which will include not only several nights outside, but at least 1/2 mile or more on a gravel road!

I do understand wanting to baby the car, but in the end it is just a car... none of this stuff will hurt it.

You should read what some of the Ferrari test drivers do to the cars during the shakedown drives! "Drive it like you stole it" seems to be their motto.

 

Point well agreed, but you must remember, back in the day Enzo really didnt make the most reliable of cars either, that second gear is still a problem, and of course Enzo wanted us to drive them, that way he could sell parts, and when the car was toast you could buy another !!..I think everyhting in moderation, my TR has never been left outside in the rain, but i have driven her in the rain,to each there own. Alot of people think there fragile cars because they cant afford the $300 oil change, or $5,000 clutch, hence are afraid to drive them.But I agree, drive them like they were meant to be.

 

Ricky, we have had some truly torrential downpours here in London over the past couple of weeks, and my 355 has been left out in each one for many hours, and has been absolutely fine afterwards.

I don't even give it a second thought leaving the car out in rain etc, but then I come from Porsche 911 ownership where you just drive the damn thing come sun, rain or snow!

 

Dude, who are you to call someone else a toolbox, seriously, Ricky drives his cars more then most, just prefers to drive his other cars in the rain... Good second post dick...
