Yesterday while driving to Mobile I went through a thunderstorm and of course the car got WET. I have pulled the engine to do the major service including new clutch, belts , hoses and brakes, all body panels will be stripped and repainted, and I sent the interior out to be reupolstered, oh and I ordered all new glass and genuine italian air for the new tires, do you you guys think this will be enough or have I totally ruined the car driving through that thunderstorm :) :) :)

Not a catastrophic problem, but it will heavily affect the resale value!

Don't you have a car cover to cover your arse in such an emergency? It wouldn't be as aerodynamic but it helps.

The car is ruined Frank. You should park it west of town with the keys in it and just hope someone takes it off your hands. Might as well put the luggage in also.

Or maybe you can trade it in for Ford.

Probably trade ya even for the white "G-man" Grand Marquis on the used car lot.

I'm kinda slow, and since I've been up for about 24 hours, are yall being serious or just kidding about his ability to buy another F-car being revoked?

How are you going to deal with the salvage title?

Seriously, though, if you decide to replace your flood car with a new one, do what I did and select the "wiper delete" and "4 digit odometer" options - saves a little weight and a few $$. And when the car arrives, DON'T let the dealer remove the white plastic sheeting on the paint; the original factory protection is going to be better than any aftermarket solution.

Rob: does this constitute banning him? Driving in the rain....sheesh! I mean, that's TWO major offences in one go! Driving (duh - a big no-no), and then in the rain??

Frank: clearly you did not get the waterless water for washing...

Doh, I knew my tool kit wasn't complete. it was missing the elusive waterless water for washing, and I thought I had everything covered when I ordered the Italian air for the tires
