Woot Woot! What a great day! Attended my very first SOLO2 event on Sunday, and took the B/S class in the Esprit! i DNF'd the 2nd and 4th runs due to overcooking the chicane, but my third run bested the 2nd place 996targa by about a second. Three things I learned..... 1. Street tires suck. 2. My driving sucks. 3. Not having enough water......well, sucks. Can't wait for the next event in August! Thanks guys.... There were only two entries in AS out of 92 cars competing one WRX and a 96 993turbo. My two good laps were 69.888 (clean)and 69.774 (including one cone, so it was actually a 67.774 before the penalty) The WRX ran in the 64's(clean) and the 911 in the 72's(usually including one cone) Best run of the day was......gulp.........in the 48's. seriously built 280zx.
Ryan- Past Kapolei.... near the Campbell Industrial Park at the west end of H1. About 1.5 miles makai from the highway. Here is a link that can explain it better than I can. www.hawaiiracewaypark.com www.sccahawaii.org Jordan- www.scca.org What a great bunch of people... I haven't had that much fun in a long time. Mention you're a novice, and EVERYBODY just wants to help you and make the best out of your day. Funny thing is, that the organizers hand out magnetic first thru third decals in the shape of a cone for each class do display on your fender. Too bad my car is made entirely of aluminum and fibreglass! Now, off to find the best deal for some Yoko A032R's Craig
