http://www.planetf1.com/news/story_16386.shtml there it is. now we'll see if we get a follow-up from williams.....
Thank God !!!!!!!!!!! I am so tired of hearing and reading all this sh*t about where Ralph is going. Ok, now on to the even more important and relevant story in F1.......... .......where will Zsolt the "dolt" Baumgartner sign for 05. I know Zsolt's plans (which F3000 team) is killing people having to wait for an announcement. If you are a Ferrari fan, this news about Ralph going to Toyota is a GREAT NEWS !!!!!!!!!!! It sets Toyota back at least another 5 years. Now if only we can get JV to come back to Williams, and get some news that JPM will in fact still go to McLaren...... .....Ferrari is set to win even if MS and RB retire in 2006 and we have to have Luca Badoer drive the damn car. Ralf Schumacher was announced today at a Toyota driver for the 2005 to 2007 seasons inclusive and his current employer BMW Williams wasted no time in thanking Ralf Schumacher for his contribution to the team during the last six years. "Ralf has made a steadfast contribution to the team over the past five years, with some truly spectacular high points," Sir Frank Williams said on the teams website. "We fully respect his decision to pursue his future career with another team, and we wish him well in his new endeavours." Mario Theissen, BMW's Motorsport Director, added "Continuity is of course a factor for success in the fast business of Formula One. This is also true for the driver line-up. But, by the end of 2004, Ralf Schumacher will have been at WilliamsF1 for six years." "It is therefore quite normal for a driver to think about a change. Following long and intensive negotiations between Frank Williams and Ralf Schumacher, both sides have decided not to renew the contract for the period after 2004. If both sides seek a new challenge, it should understandably be taken. We were kept informed about the negotiations throughout." Ralf Schumacher, who has completed 124 Grand Prix, has to date recorded six Grand Prix victories, with a best championship placing of fourth in 2001 and 2002 with BMW Williams. E.A. Wow, its nice to see a respectful, amicable, no-whining separation of Williams and RS! I salute them both for that!
well put Jon, well put!!! Ralfie poo is truly the most over-rated punter in F1. this indeed shows how desperate and behind the curve toyota is....
