Ferrari day at Mosport on July 7th ?

I'll be there if Canada customs gets off their butts and clears my oil cooler! If not then you can be sure Lucas will take plenty of pictures from every angle!

 

lol..me and my camera will be there tomorrow rain or shine! Jay, if your oil cooler doesn't come will you still be there in the truck?
I just checked out the forcast again..and the chance of T-storms went down to 40% from 60%. So hopefully mother nature will be on our side!

 

Customs has cleared the package and UPS will try for an early morning delivery. If I can get the cooler and have it on the car by 11:00am I will be there, if not I'll go to work!

 

well it looks like mother nature won't come through for us today! Its 5:30am now and I can start to hear the thunder and see a bit of lightning! Jay, Hopefully you can get the cooler in! I will be leaving at 6 or 6:30, so maby the weather will start to clear up. If anyone else is going i'll see you there!

Hey guys,

Here are all the pics I took today (350)! There were 23 Ferrari's, 3 Maserati's, and a Porsche supercup GT3. I also got a ride in a red 360 modena during family touring!! I didn't see anyone that I knew there, I guess you didn't get you car fixed in time jay? Anyways, heres the pics!

It's now just after 9:00pm and I just finished installing the cooler. I got it at 7:30pm (UPS what a joke). Next time for sure I'm there. This is the first track event I've missed in 3 years Who's 360 did you ride in?

 

Sorry to hear about your UPS problems Jay. The owner of the 360's name was Mark Brabante. The 360 is my faviourite Ferrari, so once I signed my life away to Mosport and got my wrist band I just asked him for a ride. He's a really cool guy, my mom was flipping out when i was on the track (it's a mom thing) and hes like "watch this" and then he starts swerving all over the straightaway and I could see my mom almost have a heart attack, it was pretty funny! The only bad part was that we coulden't open it up becuase it was "family touring". I think the most we hit was about 130-140. Are there any more Ferrari events over the summer?

Lots! But "Official" club events require that you join the club. It's $100US for the year, you get invited to any new launches at the dealer and of course all the events and you get the magazine & bulletins. You also get a name badge and sticker.

 

Oh man, I can't believe I couldn't make it this time again...wow, wow, wow!

Jay, lots of GT4's there man, we needed some more colour out there......like a lil-giallo-yellow perhaps LOL. Hopefully next time! Can you tell if that silver GT4 is the one we were talking about weeks ago? You remember my customer's car (Initials DB)?

Great pics! I was there too, but didn't see you there. I arrived there late at around 2:15pm, so you must have already left. I bet you had a fun day riding in a 360. It's nice to see a bunch of Ferraris and Porsches at the track and they sounded great too! I must have missed the other Ferraris that showed up earlier. Next time I will arrive earlier. A guy who owns a 512 TR shown in your pics is a nice guy. I unexpectedly was asked to take a personal group photo shot of him with his buddies and their Ferraris as a favour for them. Maybe if you stayed longer, he may hire you to be his photographer.

Sorry to hear you didn't make it there. Must have been a bad luck eh? I saw several GT4s like yours at the track. So I agree with Vasco's comment about making your car more eye catchier than the rest of the GT4s. hehe.

Yes, DB's silver GT4 was there. As was mine. What a blast. I have been visiting that track since the 60's (when the goal was to race my 1961 Bug eye Sprite , until I realized how much rust there was underneath the dirt on the rear spring mounts). Work has interfered with each track event in the past 3 years, until now.
I improved each time out, thanks to Rob and Jo (instructors). Actually I consider it a bargain.

Lucas, I was looking for you but we missed each other. You did get some pictures of my GT4 (alongside Rocco's trailer). My plate number is AKNK 329, so find me at the next event and you'll get a ride in a carbureted car, there is nothing like for sound.

Pat (other half) took a bunch of photos, will post when I get the scans back.

Gerritv, speaking of bug eye sprite's.......have you ever seen "DB's" english car collection? hehehe sweet 100-point perfect cars. I won't even talk Corvette's , wow LOL. As I have mentionned not only was it a pleasure to sell such a nice guy his first Ferrari (1st Italian car actually according to him) but it was also my first F-car sale. Very cool.
