I guess you've seen the movie "Dogtown & the Z-boys? I understand it's now out on DVD. A great history on early skateboarding! KevFla
i saw the movie last week. i've been wanting to buy an old alva board like i had back in the day and now everybody want's to buy them too. i should of bought one last year.
I have a Dogtown 'Eric Dressen' (sp?) somewhere. I wouldn't say I collect them, but I know i still have it. Craig
Oooh, my dad has a Bansai (sp?) thats from that same time period, SkateLab was collecting similar ones for 5k each! Gulp... Its really cool, but it needs new bushings and a re-lamination to be in top condition. Plus, my dog ate most of one of the wheels, but it was replaced.
I have a 75' Alva with the blue letters on the bottom and multicolored 'Alva" cut out ib the grip. I'm still looking for a Z-Flex. I have some other boards from the 80s, but those arent too rare.

I've been using ebay since '98 with great success. Just be careful, check feedbacks, and you should have good results. I'll be happy to give you my opinion of a seller if you get to that point. - E
