One of my sealed beam units burned out. What is a good brand/price for a replacement. Are these the same sealed beams sold everywhere or are these special too?

Go and get a set of the Boshe replacement lenses that take an h4 bulb. I put them in mine and they work great. There like 50 bucks for the kit including the bulbs. I put the blue blubs in mine and I really like them.

Yes, they are standard 7" headlights. As suggested, get some Euro code, non-sealed beam headlights. Hella, Cibie, or Bosch, they are all very good. Here is a good "on-line" price:http://catalog.com/susq/hella/hdlmpprc.htm#7

$71.26 is a great price (plus a little shipping). I have purchased several times from these guys, no problems. You can "upgrade" on the bulbs too, but the stock ones work fine. I would recommend NOT going to higher wattage, unless you wish to upgrade the wiring, and add relays off the battery. So, stay with the standard 60/55w ratings. The +50 xenon bulbs are a bit brighter, and don't have that goofy bluish tinge that all the kids have. I hear the Optilux +100% bulbs do have a bit bluish tinge, but not terribly objectionable...

Thanks, Dave. It turned out to be a bad fuse, not a blown light. I'll save your posts for the future.
