There's one on Ferraribuy right now. It's going for 60k. That's a good way to ruin a car. That's something you do as a teenager to your rusted out subaru around summertime. Not to a Ferrari! Or any other classic/exotic car.
It looks OK with the roof down, but you wouldnt wanna take it anywere where you have to put the roof up :-O
I like the look with the hood down, absolutly ugly when closed. If you use this hybrid only in the sun with the hood just as an emergency solution it is not SO bad... Ciao Eugenio
Seriously, just how different is the experience between a full convertible (modern spider models) and a "no roof" GTS? I've always been partial to GTS models--even in the 355. It's "open motoring" enough for me .
That top reminds me of a Totes pocket umbrella... horrible!! The one with the top down look much better. I recall seeing one years ago with a GTO body kit. I guess if you're going to tamper with a perfectly good Ferrari, you might as well go whole hog.
I have read (Ferraris for the Road??) that Pininfarina proposed a limited run of these at the end of the 308's lifespan, much like they did for the 355 Fiorano. Enzo rejected the idea, so it was stillborn. Maybe one was actually produced as a prototype. Looks like Enzo was right in his decision......
That is easily the ugliest Ferrari 308 i have ever seen...so ugly in fact, i would not consider it if it was going to be given to me for free. Its a complete disgrace to the Ferrari marque.
