Maybe somebody can point me in the right direction. I cant get my a/c to work. The switch panel is not doing anything, not responding at all. It is lighting up but no blower motor, not on any level. I tried 2 heater a/c panels, thinking that was it, I also tried the a/c fuse in the right hand foot area.

Any other suggestions. Its over a 100 degrees in Sacramento and I'm dying.

    Thanks

Could be the motor/compressor itself - not the fuse. (Has it not been run for a while? Meaning the AC...) They tend to cease a bit if they are not run every once an a while. I never run the AC in my Spider - but start the AC.

First place to start is the fuses (as you did) - next check the leads to the Compressor - make sure not a ground problem/wire issue.

Next step would be to take it in for a quick look. On a couple of my cars - I would have the dealer take a look - and get a quote - god forbid they have to replace the AC unit - pretty expensive. Then go to an AC place for an estimate as well - for rebuild or other... (unless you have an independent Ferrari Guy - which is cheaper than dealer service).

I would think something was wrong with the compressor if it was blowing, but just not cold. But I dont get anything, the blower motor is not evan blowing any air. Its like there is no power getting to the unit. I was thinking it had to be a wirring or fuse problem.
If I can just get the blower motor to work from the a/c control panel, then I can figure out if it is blowing cool.

    Thanks,
    Ryan

Try the 30A fuse located on the side of the blower box(front trunk area). You will have to remove the carpet panels, but it's easy. It's located next to some other releys, these are not listed in the owners manual for some reason. I had the same thing happen to my 95 355.

What position do you have the controls in? make sure the Stop button is not depressed, then set the temp low (cold) and the other dial to "auto"

It alsmost sound like the stop button is on which turns the entire climate control system off.

Had a similar problem on my 355. Root cause was corrosion of the electrical connectors on the fan speed controller and flap position controller which are positioned on the HVAC unit under the luggage hood.

The A/C compressor will not cut in unless the fan is actually running .

You need to dismantle the carpet trim to get access to the units. Disconnect the connectors. Clean off the crud with some abrasive paper. Grease-up with vaseline, reconnect & BINGO...

    Hope it works for you.

Interim containment action is 2/90 air conditioning -- 2 windows down, 90MPH :D

That's good advice, whether you do it yourself, or take it to the dealer. :)

    Thanks Rob,

That sounds like a likely problem, I cant wait to get home to check it out....A friend of mine had a similar problem with the gas door switch on his 355, having a bad corroded connection, maybe its the same type of problem with my a/c system.

OK guys, I feel pretty dumb. It was the 30A fuse all along. When I was looking for it I didn't see it tucked away down low and I checked the other fuses that are easily seen. Once I saw that sitting there, I could see it plain as day, blown. I popped a new one in and I'm blowing so cold I had to turn it down a little. I plan on doing the fuse upgrade that people talk about on the 348's.

Thanks again everybody for your help.
