Trap speed on the secong run was 112.09 mph at 13.5 seconds. The weather was partly overcast and the in car videos were taken with a windscreen mounted camera.

Hopefully next time I do it I will get a quicker time if i let the tyre pressures down a bit

Granted, I know little about drag racing. But, aren't you losing valuable time when you are spinning the tires on launch for the first few seconds? Even on your fastest run the tires are spinning and you are going a little sideways.

top gear was 4th just as i got past the traps. I should have tried a run with traction control on. As its an F1 you have no clutch so its hard to control the wheel spin apart from backing off a bit.

i think he means "clutch" pedal.

Doesn't the F1 trans have a launch control feature?

I bet your right, the traction control should have fixed the spin.

Trying to fix spin by using the clutch pedal usually results in a fried clutch ... unless you have a ceramic or carbon-carbon slipper clutch that is built for that kind of abuse. With a street clutch , lifting the throttle is the way to go, but harder to control.
