we have one its called ferrariads and its free
Just a quick side note for you, warranty started the day that you bought it my friend!!! If someone thinks just because they did not title it and they have the original MSO warranty has not yet punched they are wrong. When the dealer sold you the car, they did a PDI on it and pulled the coupon out of your book. This is required by Lamborghini when a dealer retails a car whether it is for a broker/dealer or whatever. If you check the front of your warranty book you will notice that a set of carbon copies has been plucked out by the local office girl and that the warranty coupon has also been pulled along with the coupon for the dealer to "get paid" for the initial PDI. When this is remitted to Lambo by the dealer so they can get paid, that is when warranty starts. So please don't tell these people the car has 2 yrs left on warranty when it does not. Sorry guys, I just wanted to make sure that you know "how it is" so you don't get the burn!!! Chris
Here's a quote from Andy Cohen (Owner and operator of Beverly Hills Classis Cars) who (I would wager) has bought and sold more cars than you and I combined X 100, --"Gallardos are DEAD! NO body wants them! Not only that, they killed the Murcie market because they are just as fast and less money. 360s are still as hot as 1999! I can't keep them in here. Look at this one here (a '99). I just sold it for MSRP and it is 5 years old. I sold 4 Gallardos in the last 6 months, already got them back from the owners (who hated them) and had to wholesale them. You don't see one in here, do you? You won't either." Here (IN REALITY) endeth the lesson....... DL ps. Better hold onto that bridge!
Thanks for the info -- that makes a lot more sense! I assume other manufacturers have a similar triggering mechanism for the warranty, even when a broker "buys" it. As always, buyer beware!
LOL, A 550 owner lecturing somone on the ills of Lamborghini resale value is like watching Christopher Reeve judge a DANCE CONTEST. You look up "depreciation" in the dictionary and there's a picture of Enzo sitting on a 550 giving you the bird. Please. Bottom line: Your biased opinion, nor the opinion of the clown at Classic Cars, means jack$hit to anyone familiar with the situation. A 99 POS Modena at MSRP? Laughable. Guess that buyer didn't get this month's FML, which has FOUR '99 360s for sale UNDER $105k. What a joke. Don't confuse Ferrari's artificial "waiting list" nonsense for actual demand pal. Two very different things. But you'll find that out the second you put your Camaro-550 up for sale. It will be a quick lesson, lol.
LOL, Let's see, you attack MY car.....weak at best and irrelevant to the topic. ...then YOU throw an unfortunate quad into the fray.....sad. Typically comical and transparent. Hey! Get a new gold chain and have a Lowenbrau before you hurt yourself! Like I said before...let me know what stocks you all like so I can short them and make a fortune. Maybe I'll throw a G at you as recognition for the tip! DL
Since we're in the G-bashing, an Audi with a raging bull emblem has never been a Lambo to me. Too perfect for that.
Darth lets keep peace...pleaseee I am probablly the biggest lamborghini fan, we have 3 of them...and would probablly never buy a ferrari because of our loyalty...but i think you have to give credit where credit is due.... lets say Your ferrari is a great car, while the Lamborghini is too lol To me Lamborghinis will ALWAYS get more attention than any ferrari... And actually Lamborghini Diablo prices are holding very very well...So are countachs... so lets not banter about what cars hold better value.... 456's are going for mid 60s now.... -jt dont get me wrong i am a HUGE ferrari fan and we have considered many times buying a 360 spider.
Why do the Lambo owners always bring up how much more attention they get than a Ferrari? Is that the criteria for the best car? Do they crave attention? Recently I had my 512 Boxer at a event with my front and rear decklids open and parked next to a Orange Diablo with its superfly doors open which car do people come to check out first? Ferrari I personally don't like the attention most is positive but you also put up with some crap and can't leave the cars parked alone for any length of time which is a PITA because you can't relax because some predator ***** is going to do something to them.
Right. That sounds almost believable. I don't know what's more pathetic, the fact that you believe that statement, or that you expect us to believe it. I can buy an 02 360 Spider with less than 3000 miles from a car broker in my area for roughly $25K under list. I'll send you the ad if you are doubting it (advertised at ~$22K under sticker price). I'd like to meet the person willing to pay MSRP for a 5 year old coupe. Get real.
in the past, pre audi, the l and f cars were very different interpretations of the exotic italian sports car.. the ferrari with more flowing understated design and smaller, high reving engines.... the l cars had wild, over the top designs with monster engines with tons of in your face power, nothing subtle...i have always loved them both and aspire to have at least one of each someday....apples and oranges and both are great fruits!!!! i just hope that they dont start getting to similar...same hp and size, similar models....the murci is so unique that no f car is even in competition with it..
THANK YOU LOL Someone sees the light...both cars are great! But lambos are just weird...they are a different beast... -jt
I just saw this. You are getting more humorous by the day. You keep bringing these "special guests" around, who have an opinion, like you do, and you know what I think of yours, on this subject. Its where the money changes hands, when are you going to get it? Not your opinion, not Dr. Tax, not this guy. For every guy you can get who buys into your stuff, I can find one who doesnt. But I prefer to fight my own battles, with facts. Not "this guy says" stuff. But I still like you, and I will take that beer when I get to L.A. next month.
Gallardo owners hated them????????????? PLEASE!!!! I can't even be polite...that is just PURE BULLS...!!!!!!!
Pure BS is exactly right. I still can't believe that someone would make a statement indicating that a 5 year old 360 just sold for MSRP. That is quite possibly the most ridiculous thing I have heard since hearing someone with a stock Z06 could smoke a Murcielago. Pass the crack pipe, please.
You know, we mind our business over here, have fun, enjoy our cars, wether we own them or are enthusiasts, and this stuff happens. Everyone blamed AllanLambo for instigating, I guess he wasnt the only one!!
Don't you give up the right to be an Ass when you become a Moderator? Please enlighten us as to how you are making this a better place.
LOL. I like that. I think I might go over to the Southern Cal section and play. Nah, its not worth it.
Hey look..... I am not attempting to speak for every G-car owner...how could I? How could anyone? You couldn't wait to dump a 550 that I told you I would have seriously considered if I hadn't already found the one I have. "One man's trash...................." Yesterday, I made a statement based upon what I saw here (Manheim thread), caught flack for it and I can accept that. While I was out and about in BH, I stopped into BHCC to look at the F40 and happened to make a comment (to Andy) that I saw alot of 360s but no G-cars. That is it. HE filled in the rest and I re-iterated what he said...as it happened to echo SOME of the sentiment here (maybe rather spiritedly but that makes for good internet...shoot me). I suppose I owe everyone (who didn't like what he said) an apology for neglecting to hook him up to a polygraph first! As far as the statements about Ferraris' depreciation... my hats off to them for creating the perceived value and mystique necessary to keep the interest level in owning them consistently higher than L. Perhaps Lamborghini should consider a new marketing firm if they cannot achieve this. Sour grapes or bad business? Time will tell. And AJ, your beer awaits but I'M DRIVING TO THE PUB!!!!!!! DL
