At $125k opening bid, it's a bit overpriced. It's also too bad they didn't do the trunk in the same style as the real car.

Actually, from what I could see, the only thing which distinguishes it from any other cut 365 2+2 is the door treatment and the veneer on the dash.

On the bright side, this caused me to get out Original Ferrari V12 and look at pics of the real 365 California. Wow! I forgot how much I liked that car.

the ebay ad says that three 365GT2+2s were cut to make these California knock-offs.
Does any one know the serial nos.??

I've owned my 2+2 for 18 years and I've never run across one that was cut into a spyder. Are there really many out there?

11401 appears to be the 38th 365GT2+2 made.

10431 was the first prototype for the queen mothers. Depending when the chop work was done, I'm surprised that someone would operate on a prototype.

    you're right, xs10shl, 17623 appears to be a 365GT/4 2+2 - the fourth-to-last one, which was converted to a cabriolet.

I really like the burl finish to the dash - fits the big elegant car. They lose me w/ the rear treatment.

True - in the time before we would have thrown our bodies in the way to prevent it . . .

there was also a time when probably a third of the sports racing Ferraris in the US had chevy v-8s in them. oh, well
