Hi Guys, I have been researching 308's for a while now as i am considering buying one, but am a little unsure what wheels were actually offered on them from production. Most have the standard 14 inch wheels on them, however i have seen some with 16 inch wheels that look like off the 328. what was actually offered as standard or optional on any/all 308's ? Cheers
early have 14s. Many of the GTSi and GTBi's have metric. The last of the bunch, the Quats, have 16s that are slightly different then the preABS 328 wheels.
Carb Cars - 14 x 6.5" with an option of 14 X 7.5" Injected Cars - 165TR 390 QV's 16 x 7" front 16 x 8" rear Probably some overlap - depending what was in stock at the time!
Omar Beat me to the punch again! BTW WRX, non ABS 328 wheels are the same size as QV's but a different casting
The 308 OMs actually confirm some "official" variability: carbed = the 14" "i" = any of the three -- 14", 390 mm, or 16" QV = 390 mm or 16" (I'd bet most non-US version 308QV have 390s) (and, logically, a 308 could never come stock with non-abs 328 wheels -- but they do fit 308s with some center cap fiddling/mods) but they are so easy to change/swap that you'll need to check/verify each car rather than rely on the model/year to define the wheel/tire type.
Wow, I cant beleive how quickly i got some reply's thanks for that guys. Now i hope its not rude to ask anyone for pitcures? so you say the "i"s had metric wheels? i could imagine tyres would be impossible to get for those? however it would explain why the 2 GTBi's i looked at had aftermarket wheels Cheers
This is a non-abs 328 wheel (no center projection). Do a search on "308 wheel" and "328 wheel" -- I'm sure you'll get plenty of information (because these are photos I copied from other's prior useful posts).
