If you know the 348, then you are familiar with the deterioration of the face plates that house the console gauges.

Where can I get the replacement plastic or carbon fiber replacement?

The ebay is the inserts only, the sponsor is the entire sill.

I wish you could get the sills without a spot for the insert and with the "Ferrari" in them. I would be up for those

    Mike -

I totally agree on the price -- it is steep. But here's how I see it:

    (1) Andre only makes these to order, so every one is essentially handmade.

    (2) Everytime I get into my car, I see the sills. They are like the welcome mat of the car, and I want to feel "welcome" in the Ferrari of my dreams.

    (3) See item #2.

I guess I never understodd the purpose of cosmetic CF parts. Your weight savings are minimal, yet you're paying a huge premium for the expensive production process and stiffness. Why? Does it look that much nicer than a paint coated plastic piece? I dunno...

if you buy from Andre, actually you're not paying a premium for the piece. His prices are, in fact, LESS than Ferrari factory prices. His quality and customer service is good too.

I have a contact where you can get the full carbon fiber sills with or without the insert and they have the lip which makes them stronger for $425.

If you have them IN the Ferrari, why do you need "Ferrari" ON them? :)

I'm guessing that most of us are car fanatics here, that's why we drive F cars....right?

So if we love our cars so much then isn't it the small things that matter and make them feel complete?

What is wrong with wanting Ferrari written on them? If it's such a big issue, why did the factory feel it necessary to mould the rubber insert with the word 'Ferrari'? After all, they knew what make of car it was !

Most of us would understand that this simple feature would add to the cosmetic appearance of such a large flat panel. Each to their own on this site, I don't feel that we should be questioning others personal choices.

    Do you not agree.......?

I remember seeing a thread that showed a 348 with almost all the interior done in carbon fibre. Can any help find the thread that had the picture....

Of course I agree! See that little smiley after my post? It looks like this:

    :)

That means what I said was meant in fun, facetiously, in good humor (I know Monte Python hasn't been on the air for a while, but last time I checked there was still plenty of humor in the UK ;).

There's nothing wanting "Ferrari" written on them, or your name, or your shirt size for that matter. And there's nothing wrong with wanting NOTHING on them at all!
