    Hi there-
I am looking to finalize the purchase of a 2000 360 F1 (2600 miles). I live locally in the south bay and the car is out of state.

Although it is a 2000 model year, it was first sold in December of 2001 so I still have a few months under warranty which I think is a big plus.

    Here are my questions:
    1) Is the manufacturer's warranty transferrable? Are there any companies that you can purchase an extended warranty from?

    2) What should I have checked out on this vehicle before I complete the deal? Should I bring it in to a service center and, if so, what should they evaluate?

    3) Are there any reasonable and reputable service centers in the Bay Area? Are they authorized or independent?

    4) Any other general advice or suggestions that can help me out?

    Thanks!!!
    I really need your help!!
