asked them at wwoc when i was there yesterday, they knew the owner, who got it from miller motorcars in CT originally. they did not think 193k that much of a bragain at that milage, if few hundred miles then yes.
well, talk is cheap. sub 1K mile cars are still asking 25 over sticker. apparently on the left coast they're getting 15-20 over sticker. this particular car is the first one i've heard about going for under sticker. in fact, i've yet to hear of a pre-owned car going for just sticker. prices will surely fall on these things - make no mistake about it - but we're nearly at the end of production now; all the slots got taken; and only 300 or so are coming into NA. i've heard of guys selling their slots for 5K to 10K now. the market's come down. but nobody's just walking away from their allocations that i've heard of. net net - i think this particular car is a fine deal - assuming it checks out okay, which is wildly likely. especially if it's heading back to the left-coast, where pricing is always a tad on the other side of wacko . doody.
no need to convince me. i am just passing on what i heard. if i truly believed car will sell for the same next yr, i will buy it even if it's pink. and if ppl are selling slot at 5k-10k over list, i personally will not save the 10k and get one with few k miles already instead a brand spanking new one.
PPI came back today as passed w/ flying colors. Deal should be done monday, but they'll have to hold onto it for me for a week or so as I will be in spain until the 8th. --Dan
