K' guys, spotted this "Carrera GT2" Cabriolet. Didn't know Porsche makes any GT2 convertible.

Base on the headlights. I would assume this "GT2" is a 00~01 996 model since the "Boxster-Style" headlights are no longer available for all 2002+ 911S (However, 01 996 Turbo do carry the current headlights design)

    Thoughts?

I think its just a fake. Looks like a slightly modded Carrera Cab. with a GT2 badge thrown on.

That looks nothing like a GT2. And the GT2 badging is quite tacky.

Have you considered a Maranello badge?

Real GT2 has big scoops for the brakes in front. Kinda like the 996TT with a slot in the scoop. Also vents in the rear for the intercoolers:

PAG never made a GT2 convertible, and I don't think they ever would. the turbo 'S' cabriolet model has been released. it's basically the same thing as a 996TT cab, but with the X50 power package (additional HP) and the carbon ceramic brakes as standard. the GT2 was intended to give a more "visceral" or "raw" driving experience than the normal turbo (with its PSM, 4wd, etc..). The GT2 has larger turbos and is a 2WD car; they're supposedly less forgiving towards driver errors, and as a result, several of them have been crashed. it's also differentiable by the larger, fixed spoiler (very cool looking, imho; not ricey.
