    its a terrible lounge.
went there for a bday a couple of months ago and hated it.
it tries to be downtown, at a uptown location, with outerborough
    crowd. not a good combo.

are you saying you dont' like the people that go there, the location or the decor? I was more interested in the decor as I might copy it to some degree in Dallas.

coming from a born and raised manhattanite, i dont like the people, decor and
the music compared to other lounges in the city...
suggestion: go check it out yourself, and then drive downtown to places like
PM, BLVD, etc... and compare and youll agree =)

Hmmm. Got any web links or photos of what you do like? Wait I found some. BLVD is huge. PM seems so-so to me.

Can you describe what is hip and what is not up that way? Music? Themes?

Kind of want to open a place for fun down here. Not trying to revolutionize the industry, but also don't want to do something tired and old. Trying to keep costs down as well. I've seen bars where they spent a mil and it goes bust, but others just put up a new sign and are packed.

What you need are a bunch of Ferrari to arrive in style to add credibility to your establishment. Seems I know such a group who might be encouraged to help you out ;)

I'm in Dallas not NYC. I could prob get 5-20+ fcars and other exotics if I need to. Just need a place worth going to ya know!

What's this Idol nightclub you were talking about?

Jim, I've been to Dallas many times and knows that the crowd's taste is different from those of the New Yorkers. Personally, Potion lounge is not a place I would go in New York, because there are so many better clubs in the City, but for Dallas, Potion's formula may work fine.

You really gotta work the crowd and cater it towards their taste.
