The session has been red flagged at 10:41 local time in order to clear debris from Timo Glock's Jordan, which lost its front wing over kerbing. The session will restart at 11:51 local time.

Well that is not unusual. The third test drivers do many more laps on Friday because they do not need to conserve their engines for Saturday and Sunday. This provides teams like BAR more data to work with.
Oh yes! BAR would have been much better off this season if Davidson was in the race seat instead of Takuma Sato.
Sato was faster than Davidson when they both did F3 for Carlin. Being fast on Friday doesn´t tell a whole lot.
Exactly, and therefore you can see how much faster Davidson is compared to Sato. Sato is a marketing gimick for Honda. Money can buy you a racing seat but it cannot buy you driver performance.
I'd like to see how Davidson does under real racing conditions. Hopefully we'll get a chance to see that next year. Potentially in the Sauber seat Fisico will leave behind when he transfers to ???
It would certainly be good to have Dividson and Timo Glock in racing seats next year. It is sad to see real racing talent wasted because seats are being bought by big sponsors to promote "their guy".
I'll tell you again: when they were teammates at Carlin Motorsport in British F3, Sato was easily quicker than Davidson. The Friday-times are really incomparable, for they are running under different circumstances with different tasks. Sato has proven again and again that he has the speed and the skill to succeed in F1. Besides, there is really no evidence that he is to blame for the broken Honda-engines. Sure, it tempting to assume a connection, but Sato doesn't change his style over the course of a season, yet the engine does not break all the time. So there actually are engine that are good enough to bring Sato's car home, so the engines that aren't are simply inferior engines. Be that as it may, you are obviously too blinded by your dislike of Sato to see the facts. Your loss though.
And as coincidence would have it, today it was Button who suffered an enginefailure, and has to start 10 places from down whatever gridposition he takes in qualifying as a consequence. On a side nota: Christijan Albers will be testing a Jordan at Silverstone on september 15th
you are exactly right imperial, now comes your job - find a way to let davidson run the BAR in the race with no fuel the entire time!!!! go for it, I know you can do it
All the mockery aside I have been impressed by Davidson's constantly fast times. Sure he can blow the engine, use less fuel and new tires, but the guy is a rookie, who doesn't know the car as well and knows none of the F1 tracks and still goes fast every Friday. And the regular drivers probably don't have full fuel loads either. I'm really anxious to see this guy under equal conditions.
imperial is just jealous of sato's cojones grande - and we all know your predictable posts stating your opinion after you've repeated it 90 times, the poor lil' horsie is dead!!!! as to the German GP, poor DC is fading away from his team mate into oblivion....
Did that surprise you? DC is 2nd class. Kimi is dream stuff. If DC gets lucky he can nail the Jag seat for 05.
No it didnt but i feel sorry for the old excuse maker. i bet JPM breathed a sigh of relief when the "new" McC was slightly quicker.....Adrian must've gone ahead and switched teams in his commitment
Ok, agreed on both. Actually I like DC and wish his mother really would have been right one of these years... We all said how stupid of JPM to switch to Mc Laren and sign the contract so early and watch them blow up, but in the end he might be the one laughing: It looks as if he is joining the team just as their cars make a comeback and as Williams is falling apart (at least temporarily). I bet his clever girlfriend is behind all this...
Well we all so the video of Montoya trying to assault the camera man. If his girlfriend was not there to stop Montoya, he would have been in big trouble. I actaully feel sorry for Mclaren. Montoya will probably destroy their come back. Kimi will not be able to put up with Montoya's stupid behaviour and the team will stop functioning well. Montoya is probably going to slam into Kimi at the start of most races next year.
