when bleeding the brakes, what is the process? am i supposed to have the key on or something during the bleeding? the book is confusing. it says just like regular and then refers to having the pump on... can someone please take a minute and explain this to me.
can some one help me out? i want to get this done maybe this weekend, and i am hesitant to begin without at least a little advise
Yeah I think you have to have the key on, or you'll have a dead pedal when you try and bleed. You'll find out when you get to that point.
key on when you bleed. two man bleed it. some your bleed process when you hear the pump come on and continue when the pump is off. check fluid level frequently.
and just to add more brake fluid to the fire... i agree these bleeder fittings are junk. they wiggled around so loose in threads they would suck air like crazy if you let them get too loose or a little crooked. i could tilt the fitting a little and watch a steady stream of bubbles form as the venturi effect was sucking in air from the sloppy tolerances. total POS.
