    Has anyone used this spark plug in their 308?Im told the "Y" tip helps against plug fouling.Any other theories?Thanks in advance

    Maurice -- The "Y" type NGK plugs I believe are just a standard electrode with a V-groove cut into the center electrode face so just slightly up the food chain in terms of anti-fouling characteristics (do an internet search on "NGK spark plug codes" and you'll get the information on how to decode the number structure). IME, you'd be better off trying:

    NGK BPR5EVX or BPR6EVX (small diameter Platinum center electrode)

    or

    NGK BPR5EIX or BPR6EIX (very small diameter Iridium center electrode)

    Don't know if this is a practical source for you, but a lot of us in N.A. use www.clubplug.net to keep the costs reasonable for these exotic NGK plugs.
