Interesting Cavallino Rampante...and some very low profile tyres! I heard it was the result of a spat when Lamborghini refused to sell Enzo Ferrari a tractor?
Dear Comrade Russell M8, Well my Email eventually arrived then! Thank you so much for doing your 'clever stuff' again. I think the photograph's look quite splendid. We shall now have to await with interest to see what 'Posts' it brings forth. My best wishes, please to your father. With kind regards, 512 Tea Arse
And the 0 to 60 is ..........? How many hours! Have you ever been to the Sellindge Steam Festival near Ashford, Kent ?
Dear 400 Spyder, I regret to say that I have not been to this particular festival. However, I understand that British Rail, Ashford and in days gone by, was a wonderful place to see every type of steam locomotive.
when is it next out as i want the big prancing horse off the front as i think 12cylinder ferraris should have a bigger badge on the front than 8 cylinders [IE] 12CYLINDER ---BIG HORSE 8 CYLINDER----LITTLE PONY WHAT ARE YOUR VIEWS
Dear Comrade Steve M8, | I concur completely. Indeed, us boys with the Big Twelve's are always up early whilst the Vee Eight boys are still in bed dreaming about what might have been - had the hand of fate dealt them different cards in life's poker game. I understand that the 'Ferrari Roller' is at the New Forest Show today - I shall endeavour to purloin the badge and have a copy reproduced for you Steve M8. Concerning the size of the badge to be placed on the 'Baby Vee Eights.' You will of course be quite fully aware that the teeny weeny Vee Six Dino had no badge whatsoever - it didn't even have a Ferrari name on it! This speaks volumes and clearly Enzo Ferrari had the same views as you and I Steve M8. So yes, the bigger the engine, then the bigger the badge! I observed from your profile that you are in 'Sales.' Perhaps when we go into volume production with the 'Big Horse' badge you will be able to use your skills to good advantage. I will be the production director and you the sales director; with all profits to be split fifty fifty. Perhaps Toeknee M8 will advise us concerning launching the company onto the Stock Market.
Dear 512 tea are My dad's friend is currently restoring one of these to take on rallies and such. It looks quite funny sitting on his drive.
Dear Comrade Noony M8, We've been to The New Forest Show today. Many steam vehicles from the weekend event were also there. I think they are wonderful - almost as much torque as the Flat Twelve's!
My 308GTBs dont even have a front badge... Must have rattled off over time, like the Air Box nuts....drat! There's one on the back...it'll have to do......
Dear Comrade Speedy 308 M8, A friend has a yellow 308 GTB in fibre glass. It looks absolutely wonderful.
Yes, yellow is my first choice as well, the glass cars are legendary as The Best. I did have one wag observe as he changed my watch battery once, "Excuse me sir, I think you left you car's paint job 'Turned On'" To turn it off, I put the cover over it..... I went with a more restful Metallic Blue on the next one....
Dear Comrade Speedy 308, Should a yellow F512M present itself one day I would have serious difficulty in restraining myself from acquiring it. I think the matched pair of Red TR and yellow 512M would be synonymous with owning a pair of Purdy's!
A very nice pair of bookends, indeed. I saw a yellow/black 512TR here in town, went for $119K IIRC. That was the "ask" anyway........... Those Ms are awesome cars....
Dear Comrade jkuk M8, Well, I am pleased that you are happy - I am overloaded with the bloomin' stuff - I just can't get rid of it M8! But, I have observed from your profile that you have both a Ferrari and a Porsche. I do hope that this is merely a temporary state of affairs as you seem such a nice chap - but a Porsche? Why didn't you just acquire a VW and be done with it!
Dear Comrade 360CS, Well, the 'tyres' are quite low profile! I have been waiting with great interest upon the arrival of the 360 Challenge. I understand that you will be in its possession any day now!
Good Evening Comrade JRS, How so very kind of you to remind me of the matter of 'The Profile.' But the gentleman to whom you allude has placed a Porsche within his profile - which may well reside within his garage - right next to his Ferrari! I am awaiting a response from the aforementioned gentleman, as there will almost certainly be a very good reason for this quite horrid state of affairs. Meanwhile, may I ask why that it is that you have been so remiss in your singular lack of 'Posts' and thus abandoned your erstwhile loyal comrades on this forum? I may not have a 'Profile' but its better not to have a profile at all than to have a bad one. Indeed, I do regret to say that yours falls firmly within the latter category. For Comrade Steve M8, and Toeknee M8, plus god knows who else - including Steves genius son, Russell M8, have been holding this forum together awaiting your return - and what have we got as a response? Piffle, that's what M8, bloomin' piffle!
Verdi's had a yellow F512M a couple of months back for £60k. You could always buy Steve's and repaint it.
Dear Comrade Noony M8, It was really very kind of you to advise me of this car. Ray 360M sent me photograph's of it perhaps three years or so ago. At that time it was with Specialised Cars. It then went to various peripheral dealers and as you kindly mentioned, was recently at Verdi's establishment. I understand that it went on to yet another dealer. For various reaons it wasn't quite what I was looking for. But I do have at least a dozen models of the F512M in yellow!
