In order to tidy up the mess of the previous thread, I've started an new one...... So, by general consensus, Sunday the 8th has been selected, and the plan is to meet at Clacket Lane Services (Westbound) for lunch, and hurtle en mass down to Brighton to meet up with the scheduled Kent FOC gathering at Brighton Marina at lunchtime. Watch this space for specific times or any changes to venue...
It is on the M25 slap bang on the border between Surrey and Kent (two counties that we have down here in the South!) Do I take it from your interest that you wish to attend, or are you just gearing up to make more trouble??? BTW Tony (or should I call you Mini-Me for Stevef's benefit), could you make this one sticky? Thanks.
Sounds like a great day out! Unfortunately I have some family commitments, but will try to get away for at least part of the day. Steve
I was assuming that it would be a requirement by all the nutty boys, but I'm for an overland cruise if there are others interested....
Not sure if I will have Fcar then, if I have look forward to meeting a few of you guys I've enjoyed Fchatting with over the past few weeks. Is it just me or is there alot of lunching going on? - I'm sure if I tee them up stevef will hit them! Also for the geographically challenged amongst us is westbound going clockwise? If coming from other direction is there an easy way to get from one side to the other? Thanks - Kevan
If you're heading TO Kent, i go onto next junction and double back. The entrance to Clackett's where the Kent massive meet is on the LONDON side.
"LONDON" side? That would be inside the M25, and we meet up outside. You will need to enter Clackets whilst travelling clockwise as we all drive on the LEFT (except Tony apparently). So if you are coming from the East, travelling West, you will hit it clockwise. If you are coming from the West and trvelling East anticlockwise, you can go on to Junction 4 and come back on yourself.
You know what i mean, smartarse I travel TOWARDS Kent, turn round at Jct 4 and head BACK towards London.
... is'nt that towards West London, but away from East London.... I'm feeling bored and pedantic; a devastating combination!
If you had the codes to the barriers then you wouldn't have to go to the next junction to turn around!
That worked well, didn't it? Seriously though, do we know what time we are meeting yet? What's stopping us deciding?
Room for your favourite little-blue-car'd interloper? Would love to bag a ride from Clackett's with someone (*cough* Joe *cough/hint/cough*) Ben.
