Very nice pictures Vincent!!! I also love that 250 GT SWB!!! Damn, i really have to go there!!! Question is,...when??? I have to make time for that otherwise i'll regret it!! Is someone else going one of these days?? Joren, Bert, Alex,...??? Looking forward to the rest of the pics!!! CIAO... Guy
Hello Guy, what do you think about this sunday around noon? Thinks for sharing your first bash of pics Vincent! I am also curious where the GTO comes from, my first thought is from a British collector.
Eurhm, this sunday will be difficult for me!! It's possible i'm at Spa for the 24h!! But it's not sure yet! Depends on how late i'll be coming home saturday night/sundaymorning!!! I'll let you know if i can make it! It would be great to go together with some other F-chatters!! Guy
Joren, Guy, Bert, very nice idea! If everything goes according to plan, I will drive to Luxemburg with a certain vehicule this sunday... Was thinking to leave at home around noon, after visiting my brother together with Kelly in the morning. But... MAYBE I could leave home a bit earlier, after all... Brussels is right on my route to Luxemburg, and if I make a pitstop of about an hour at the Jubelpark at 12 o' clock, I could still easily make it to Echternach at 16h! I will look in to that! Would be nice to visit the expo with the Spider maybe But on the other hand... I don't know... Maybe I'll beter visit it later with my own car... I'll think about it!
It would be very nice to go with you guys but on sunday i'm going sailing in Holland. I think i go thursday or friday.
I was thinking the same. The GTO is currently offered for sale by Mecanic Import in Belgium : http://www.mecanicimport.com/frames/mainframeset.htm If memory is right I believe they also used to have the yellow SWB in inventory. DJ Dirk : I wouldn't use the word 'fake', it's more a 'recreation'. It uses original parts like the GTE chassis and probably also the engine. (or 330 engine) Maybe it's a shame but whenever you see a GTO, SWB or TR you always have to ask the question if it's an original. A GTO Favre can been distinguished with one eye shut on the other hand. Have a nice day, Joren REMANS
Perfect Joren, that's one question answered about the GTO : GTE RECREATION SN 04861 ASKING Price : 240.000 Euro.......(anyway, beautiful recreation, but a little bit expensive, would prefer a F40 for the same price) Now the 250 SWB : who will be the first to come with the s/n......? Thanks, greetings, vincent
What do you think about this one : 2745 GT 250 GT SWB Berlinetta Yellow FUP-687 B Replica on 250 GTE chas http://www.maranello.cc/All.Ferraris/2000.sfd.info.visitors/ Will see that I can have this confirmed on my sunday visit. Greetings, Joren REMANS
Hi, i've not posted much here, but I saw this exhibition while it was being setup, while there were no barriers up and you could go up to the cars, although some of the Bizzarini's were missing, I saw nearly all the other cars, and all the Lambo's and Ferraris. I hate myself though because I left my camera in England, as I was supposed to be on a school trip to Brussels... but I couldnt go that far without seeing AutoWorld could I? And I was treated by this wonderful collection! Thanks for those cool pics, makes up for my loss of pics!
Welcome on board ! That's exactly what you have to do on school trips. Get out of the fool and see the nice stuff! I did the same some years ago on a school trip to London, I skipped out and went seeing the H.R. Owen dealership on my own..... Please feel free to share us a picture of you Dino! Joren REMANS
Thanks, I hope to become a more active user, and the Dino, its on my wish-list, along with the 250GTO, but at 17 years old its a bit hard to afford the Dino, let alone the GTO! Anyway, back to the show, I was amazed at the amount of cars on show, I loved every bit!
Hi, i contacted the museum today, to say their 250GTO and 250 SWB are re-creations (or replicas) based on 250GTE chassis'. They send a reply that they will contact the organizers of the expo...... I don't really like the idea that they make a Bizzarrini expo with fake cars, and put on the program it is a real 250 GTO, sorry. So here some other pictures of 'real' (?) cars.... greetings, vincent NEXT week report of the 24 hours of Francorchamps with a lot of pictures.
