My friend works in the parts department there. I gotta make my way down. There is also a CGT in Paul Miller on 46W in Parsippany. It's there most of the time. It's Paul Miller's personal car. for pics of it check out http://public.fotki.com/goldenchris1224/porsche

I have to agree with you here U. Even as a P-car owner myself, this is quite a machine to see and sit in (as you can see from the foam at the mouth). We arlso started it up and did some of the typical revs and I must say that it sounds a good deal like Jon C. and Brads car from behind. Quite a scream or should I say melody coming from those "afterburners". This particular car is actually sold three times over...by that I mean they have 3 solid offers on the car at and over list. They are going to seel the car to a good customer who promised to lend it back to the dealership in the "off season". That way it is in climate controlled storage and it also benefits the dealership by having everyone swerve off the highway to take a look! You guys know me...I love f-cars, but this a machine that must be seen/experienced to appreciate.

I wonder if we can retro-fit these afterburners on Sam's Mondial: Firefly?

Wowowow! Eric was gracious enough to return to JD's after dinner tonight so I cld get the nickle tour. Say what you will abt this car, but it is truly sweet. Sitting in it, it feels as snug and intimate as the Enzo... might be different if the top was removed though. Interior appointments are gorgeous. Only regret was not hearing the 10 cyl tonight. I was totally impressed!

    Enormous thanks to Eric!

It was my pleasure Greg and as always good to see you. Noting like talkin' shop with the guys while standing over a $450k exotic machine. ;-) As for the sound of the V10, we were chatting so much about P-cars, F-cars and watches, we forgot to give you the full experience (standing in the showroom anyway). Sorry about that...Tom would have been happy to fire it up like we did when Clyde was there earlier in the day. There's always next time... :)

How does the placement of the shifter feel? It seems like it would be a little strange.

Yeah I wldve thought so too... but in actuality, your hand naturally falls there from off the steering wheel. Not the kind of setup for boulevarding with a gangsta-lean LOL. For serious driving its placement is perfect. From what Ive read, its a very physical, demanding car to drive. Check out Jeremy Clarkson's comments on the recent Top Gear video.

Did I mention how much I like the CGT? :)

I will agree with you on that one. It is a great car and for the money you can not get any better. Only thing is that I have heard that it might be harder to drive that a Viper which is insaine to think. A F1 driver took one out and took it hard in turns and spun three times. Pretty interesting but yet still must be a very fun car.

This is incorrect...one was destroyed by an American who shifted from 5th to a much lower gear and fried the motor; the other was destroyed by a Frenchman who drove the car into a cement barrier.
