    Ya know, i almost never give money to beggers... but this guy would get a 10'er from me. If he was near a nudie bar, perhaps a 20 so he could buy a lap dance.

    Once I saw a guy on the Wilshire onramp to the 405 (major onramp) with a sign that said "Why lie? I want money for beer." Somebody actually stopped in the middle to give the guy some money, and they talked for a few seconds. It caused a back up like two blocks long.

    Yeah - the "why lie" guy's hung out at some good spots - below AFI at Western & Franklin; also the dogleg right at Franklin & Highland below Hollywood Bowl. Always cheerful... and/or buzzed.
