    It is still a steptronic BUT with SMG paddles.

    It shouldnt be that complicated.

    My car E38 is a 98...the year right before steptronic. :(

    Not sure if I understand the point...I have used that steptronic feature perhaps 6 or 7 times in the past year I have owned my 540...if I wanted a manual, I would have bought one. The steptronic seems to be of dubious value.....

    I have it in my MK4, and only use it when I get bored. I would not buy the paddles for it.
