    Please let me know if you think this is the correct seal for the crank case, that the shift rod goes through. The rod does not look more than an inch in diameter and the ID of this seal I purchased is 1.5". I just want to make sure I have the right one before I have this job done.

    Doesn't look right to me for a '77 -- which is just an O-ring. The FerrariUK site shows PN 105558 for the '77 shift shaft seals.

    Steve is right #10558 is what you require, what you have been supplied (#108224) is the front damper oil seal.
