KZ, the show is on Friday 8/13 and I think Marty is going from 8/12 to 8/16. Not sure whether they will be attending FCA meeting. I heard cost $650 just to attend the meeting Do you want to drive down??
I'm really thinking about it......maybe leave drive down to Portland evening of 8/11 and hook up with Marty and his group on 8/12.................come back 8/15........Might be a little pressed for time though.

KZ, if the show is on Friday 8/13 then if you leave on Saturday 8/14, you should get home on Sunday afternoon. Consider stop overnight somewhere on the way
The three (J,R,A) of us are leaving on Thursday August 12th probably 4:00 AM. B line to Concorso in the B car. Anybody who want's to drive down togeather is welcome. Probably have a little extra space in the B car also. I would contemplate driving to Portland on Wednesday evening to gain the 3 hours. mw575, barbecue your house with a sleep over?

Anyone needing to make a pit stop in Salem just half an hour south of Portland are welcome to use my place. It is right off I-5 near Home Depot.

Correct 197 is a spur off of US 97. The 197 spur runs from 97 at Cow Canyon 11 miles south of Shaniko on 97 thru Maupin ( largest Deschutes River Raft put in) thru Dufur to The Dalles then connecting to US I-84. St Hwy 35 is the one that runs from Hood River thru Odell to meet up with 26 that runs from Portland thru Warm Springs to Madras and then on to Idaho. Don't drive the 197 as Wasco county mounties made over 70k in one persuit vehicle in one year handing out just 75 an over tickects ( its still 55). They were quite happy that tickets paid for a new intercepter ( IROC ).
