I just checked my numbers, my 3rd gear is only 83 mph at 7700 rpm, not 90 like I guessed and not the 100 you used in your example, so thats where the difference was in our numbers, 83 vs 100. It's still a lot, where I live 85 mph is about all you can get away with on the street. How more power is you pantera making and what are you using for tires? Also I was your post about working with ohlins. I have STJs on my car and I love them, but they are probably not optimum, any advise on set-up?
Yes, it is quite similair. The car is simply fantastic on the street. No muss, no fuss, keep the RPM below about 2500, and it has the normal drivability of a factory 348, but either stomp the throttle, or run the rpm's above 5000, and HOLD ON! The additional power is truley all I need, or want. The later design of the 348 suspension and engine placement is great for the power delivery too. Hopefully, you can make it to Memphis one day- I'll let you DRIVE it. J
Dear mk e Avon slicks, medium rubber. I cut some pattern myself to make it look good for the blue guys. They grip up to 0,89g at 60 mph. This makes 480 Rwhp. Engine deliver 532Fp without losses, at the time. But then the tire slipps. In 3:e gear I recorded 0,8g for a engine Tq of roughley 650 Fp @ 5800 rpm. 720 hp could be a fair number. The car wighted 3300 p at the time including me. Today it is 2700 without me. (I am 193p) I will be back about the Ohlin:s, as I have not sorted them out yet. Last year I used Hal shocks, but these was no real comparsion. Not their best ones i guess. The car was set to 2,1 Hz but bottomed the front suspension during braking. Now the car is 3Hz which is fairly stiff, but has almost the same ride comfort using Ohlin dampers. A big advantage is that they supply any walving the customer wants. NEVER! Honestly I have heard of insaine numbers and it all depends on yourself. Have friends with 1000 HP and more. Personally I think they are crazy but hey, to eachs own.
