You know, Jeremy Clarkson also said something similarly disparaging about the F50's looks during the Top Gear review (http://www.paoloscars.com/Top_Gear_F-50.avi). I don't get it. I always considered the F50 to be one of the most beautiful production cars in recent memory; prettier than a Diablo, prettier than a McLaren, even prettier than the newer Enzo.

The car is stunning, with the best looking front end of any car--ever IMO. I fail to fathom how anyone considers it even remotely ugly.

    Neat article though! Thanks.

I think personally that if the Mclaren were introduced today it would still be the king of the supercars.

What were they smoking when they said (at the end of the video) that the F50 does 0-100mph in 4.8 sec?? Did they mean 8.4 ?? Enzo is 6.6 sec, if I remember right.

That was a definite screw up on their part, actual F50 0-100 mph times have been more in the high 7 to 8.0s range. And the F1 car from that time couldn't have dreamed of 0-100 mph in 3.4s, although Schui's 2004 F1 car could probably do it (not joking!).

I did not know the F50 had this feature. Can anyone comment on how it works?
