Does the bumber need to come off? Different shops are telling me different things.

If the bumper needs to come off, how long would it take to do the whole job of installing the Tubi?

If the bumper doesn't need to come off, how long for the job?

PS Still looking for a used 348 Tubi--please PM me about this :)

My understanding is yes, the bumper has to come off. Certainly my mechanic took it off for my Capristo installation. I'm sure it's one of those situations where you maybe could do it without removing the bumper but it may actually take longer than if you just bit the bullet and removed the bumper. I believe my shop took about 4 1/2 hrs for the install.

Bumper should come off , you have to take your time because you will damage your side pannels if you hurry take it off.

Bumper needs to come off. If you are doing it yourself, after the bumper comes off take some good measurements of the exhaust tip locations on the OE sys. Side to side and distance to the bottom of the rear facia panel to the center of the exhaust outlet. You will need to adjust the location of these before the bumper goes back on for them to exit the holes in the bumper properly, at this point you need to measure the tip protusion side to side. And since the outlets are a different size you need to measure from the centers. Should take about 4-5 hours taking care of the pieces.
